              THANKS TO THE KING

Oh, give thanks unto the Lord; for He is good:  for His mercy endureth forever.

                                                    Psalm 123:1

I stand in humble gratitude, and I bow my heart before the King of Israel for His love and forgiveness, and for the wonderful things He has done in my life.

I give thanks to God.  I have absolutely no doubt that the Lord’s hands of love and compassion have been there to guide and protect me.  He has helped me through every problem.  The Lord has likewise removed every mountain of opposition from my path.

I’m also thankful for God’s word.  Throughout the years so many passages from the Bible have brought me comfort, peace and joy.  His works have filled my heart with hope and encouragement.

Thus while my friends are far away from me on this Thanksgiving day, I have the Lord Jesus as my ever-present Companion.  He has promised never to leave or forsake me, and I am complete in Him.

Furthermore, I do pray for all those who, at this season of the year, find themselves in adverse circumstances.  May God provide for them with food, clothing, shelter, and a taste of His love.
